Uncle Fong, the founder of the Michelin-starred restaurant PUTIEN, is also a veteran gastronome. The two things he loves in life is to search for great ingredients, and eating hot pot.

In 2016, Uncle Fong’s hot pot restaurant finally arrived in Hong Kong, allowing everyone who loves hot pot to taste the spicy and fresh Chongqing old hot pot anytime and anywhere.

As Uncle Fong loves hotpot so much, he wanted to open his own hot pot restaurant in Hong Kong. To do so, he flew to Chongqing, the birthplace of hot pot, time and again on his quest.

The key to a good hot pot is the soup base. Uncle Fong’s hot pot base is made with ingredients that have been carefully handpicked, just so that the authentic Chongqing hot pot flavours can be brought to Hong Kong.

Lovely meal with my friends. Second time coming back because the first one was unforgettable, especially the glutinous rice cake dessert. Best invention ever. The ambience is always very clean, not too noisy, and very good and detailed service. Yan Yan was very helpful and checked with us if all is okay.
Walked in and tried the individual hotpot on 31Dec. Ms. YanYan spoke English help explain menu and small dessert was served before food was served. Restaurant had no crowd all staff were attentive and polite. Had the lunch set. Portion of food was worth (nice variety including an abalone and fresh veg, meat). Great team work from service staff definitely will be back.
First time trying Uncle Fong and it’s good stuff! The mala hotpot is one of the best I’ve tried in Singapore, damn legit. Love the fish paste and all the meats (particularly the tender beef). What absolutely took me by surprise is the fish maw that tasted like sea cucumber… it was awesome. Overall, a very good meal here
Ordered the mala broth and pork bone soup. Soup are tasty and flavourful. Ordered a variety of meats which are quite affordable. The meats are tender and is considered quality meat in my opinion. If you opt in for the sauce, they will serve u a pre hotpot appetiser something like a fungus desert soup and salted veges. Total bill came up to 230$ for 6 pax and we were considered quite 80% full after the meal. Will recommend!
The tender beef is sooo good this is the second time I came back to this place! Service was great clean up pretty fast to make sure your table is always clean when dining! Definitely recommend!
